Chameleons are cool!
Did you know that a chameleon tongue is 2 1/2 times its own body length? This got us wondering....how long would our tongues be if we were chameleons?! A picture is worth a thousand words! What do you think happens to their tongue when they aren't using it?
Later Alligators!
All of our Kindergarteners disappeared the other day, and instead, we had a class full of alligators! Luckily, they were very curious and interested in learning. Fun facts we learned about alligators:
- They can camoflauge themselves in the water, with only their eyes and nostrils sticking up above the surface. This lets them sneak up on prey!
- They live in fresh water in warm places.
- They use their tail to steer themselves through the water.
- They carry their babies in their mouth.
