We have had so much fun researching and learning about various oviparous creatures and their eggs! We've been engaged with scientific egg experiments, creating oviparous creatures based on characteristics, and the kids were even able to create a sequenced animation of their oviparous research creatures hatching from eggs with the Animator Flipbook app. (See video below.)
I happened upon a link from The Nature Conservancy of an owl nest in an owl box that is being recorded and live streamed on a web cam right here in a back yard in Austin! The class has loved watching the happenings in Hoot & Annie's nest. So far, Annie has been diligently sitting on her 3-4 eggs. We can't wait for hatching day!
