To wrap up our study of oviparous creatures, we have been studying and observing schoolyard birds around our campus. Today we took a field guide and our "binoculars" and went out and about. The students took a tally chart of types of birds we saw. We saw a cardinals, mockingbirds, white-winged doves, chickadees, and many house sparrows. One pair of house sparrows is building a nest in the birdhouse in our bird garden! We're hoping to see some fledglings soon!
